A solution to the legal and ethical policies involving money would be to simply move toward a friendship. A rare handful of friends are allowed to call me. Or if not that, write hi in a note and mail it. We're certainly old enough to make big kid decisions like this.
:edit: She said in the video call that we need to keep talking. Jacky won't come in any more. Pinky says hi. The others say they're ok with more talking.
